Founder & CEO
Alexandra "Ali" Lasky is the Founder and CEO of The Influence. A New York native, she grew up on the south shore of Long Island — a beach town forty minutes from Manhattan, raised on Broadway shows and the pull of the city — before turning a love of fashion and culture into a career.
Her start was pure New York: an internship in Juicy Couture's Manhattan showroom, boutique fashion PR at Fineberg Publicity, then Siren PR — where she ran New York Fashion Week operations, coordinating runway shows at the Bryant Park tents.
"I was so excited to walk up the steps each day of NYFW at Bryant Park, enter the tent, and be handed the new copy of The Daily Front Row."
In January 2009 she moved west to open and lead the Los Angeles office of SHADOW, the bicoastal agency — rising to Vice President across nine years, weaving fashion, beauty, and nightlife clients into the Hollywood event scene.
In November 2016 she launched The Influence, covered by The Wrap on day one. Since then the agency has grown into a full-service operation — public relations, influencer marketing, talent booking, and event production — with activations from the Golden Globes and Cannes to Paris Fashion Week, New York Fashion Week, and Coachella.
The roster has included Burberry, YSL Beauty, Nautica, Soho House, and sbe — and talent campaigns from Hilary Duff's #LiveTheBlondeLife with Joico to Audrina Patridge's Prey Swim launch (Vogue, WWD, Refinery29) and Caliwater with Vanessa Hudgens.
A member of the Female Founders Collective and the Forbes Business Council, Ali founded CharityGala.online and partners with Race to Erase MS, Rhonda's Kiss, UNICEF, and amfAR.
